Dead large unidentifiable insect

The Brick responds to a distress beacon deep in space. they find a large dead insect like creature. I seemed to wield a large black rifle. The crew who set off this beacon are all dead. The crew of the Brick take samples and the rifle.

Mission for Piete Donvon - ores & metals trader

Kyth Kah-Thal's contact for precious metals, Piete Donvon contacted him about a mission to find out what happened to one of his exploratory vessels, "The Lumbard 6". The ship had previously recorded a high concentration of precious metals on an asteroid deep in the verge. Soon after the core samples were analyzed and the data sent back to Piete, the ship lost contact.
Brad the gold brick and its crew head to the last known location of the asteroid. They find the ship still landed on the rock. Once inside, they are attacked by possessed crew members with glazed over eyes wielding swords made of diamonds.  They take out the crew of crazy's. Kyth Kah-Thal makes contact with something that only could be described as a diamond elemental. They talk for awhile telepathically and become friends. The creatures name is Lazerus. He agrees to let the group take the ship and a large shipment of precious metals and diamonds. He manifests a piece of himself into a fine diamond powder that shoots up the nose of one of the heads of the dead crew. The group lops off the head and puts it in glass box. This is the way that Lazerus can remain in contact with the group. The head will need to be replaced monthly though due to decay.
After getting back to the Spider hole system the group hacks this new ship they were awarded and gets it registered to them. They also unload a shit ton of metals and diamonds and bank 15 million for the group. They get to work on stripping down this new ship to prepare it as a gunship.
They also do a side mission to kidnap and torture a man by the name of Marcus Selver. They bring him aboard the "Brick" and hand him over to Doctor Heimlich. Dr. Heimlich sets up a "torture cam" for the client to watch at his leisure.

Revenge On The Brad and Co.

The party is informed that the main mining facility in Basking on planet Venon is missing all of its employees.  All of the miners have failed to report to work.  So, the group begins an investigation and learns that many of the family members of the miners have been kidnapped!  The 3rd Eye mercenary company has been hired by the mad scientist Dr. Bertinelli to kidnap and muscle the miners into quitting their duties.

The party also learns from scrapping together details and interrogating 3rd Eye members that the victims are being held on SK-21847-b, Bertinelli's asteroid science facility.

The party returns to the asteroid and bravely fights their way through armed gang members, Mutant experiments, and laser turrets within the underground facility.  At the climax of the battle, they find the kidnapped family members tied together to an IED and their blood being fed into some sort of a space vampire.  However, the party dispatches of the enemy without a single family member from being hurt in the process.

Dr. Himleich discovers a treasure trove of data concerning the creation process for making Mutants, space ghouls, and space vampires.  Dr. Bertinelli will most likely think twice about crossing the Brad Crew again.

All of the miners, secure and thankful to the crew, return to work.  Production is back to normal in the edges of the milky way, for now.

because....

Assault at the refinery

The group makes its attempt at taking the refinery. Most of the group heads in through the front. They are met by a bunch of armed guys. a big firefight erupts. Soon one of the large cylinders towards the rear of the room activates and becomes a huge security bot. The group prevails and makes it to the next room.

Meanwhile Thendus and Henrique work the rear of the facility trying to make it safe for the group's exit once they clear the place.

The group continues on further into the facility. They are further attacked by more men. eventually Kith makes contact with their leader. After not too long, he brokers a deal with these combatants. They soon have a cordial meeting and agree to work with the crew in securing this facility. They agree to also help them speak to the other squatters in the two other facilities the group is trying to clear. In all they make a great deal with the squatters. The crew will provide them with the necessary cyberware drugs for their services. The crew are a couple of hundred strong.

The group then is asked to investigate a strange anomaly in space. There is a ship that came out of drive space and has been fused together with a frozen dead sperm whale. Some things are just too freaky to explain.

Lennox side mission #2

Lennox invites the crew to the Devoncore outpost. He takes them for a round of golf to discuss some things. First off, he explains that he has credible intel that both Void corp and the Galactic concord are heading to the system. They should arrive in the next 3-5 years. The goal is to get as much legitimate businesses set up before they arrive which would put them in a great position financially as well as secure their future endeavors. He asks that they start expanding themselves by creating new companies and start acquiring real estate & holdings in preparation.  He also asks the crew to take out another rival of Lennox. It is a ship by the name of "Greystoke", commanded by Captain Marcus Fransor. The crew starfalls several times to get to the Greystoke. When they arrive, they expertly surprise the ship and take it out quickly. The mission is practically over before it even starts! Brad the Gold Brick and its crew are becoming a well oiled machine!

Solar Transport Corp. Mission #8A.1

Boomer takes the sky tank out to do some recon around the refinery in preparation for the next ground assault. He is attacked by another sky tank! The battle rages high above the city, both ships equally matched. Boomer puts on his piloting program and takes the advantage. In the end, both ships are almost destroyed. Boomer wins this battle. The other pilot radios in saying "nice shooting" and high tails it out of there to fight another day. The fighter's call sign was "Cinderblock".

Boomer returns to the Brick smoking and sluggish. Henrique gets to work on all of the repairs.

Elsa suggests a stealth mission to plant some explosives around the area. This will help assist in the eventual ground assault of the refinery compound.

Elsa & Boomer head into the Ghettos of City. They get into several gun battles trying to set all of the explosives. They got shot up pretty good, but in the end they succeed.

Safari on Owness

The crew took a contract from a Fraal named Dr. Usanagi to collect live Tundra Rino specimens for $10,000 each and deliver them to Spiral station.  A Tundra Rino is a large and dangerous amphibious quadroped with tough hide, head of a hammerhead shark, and a large horn in the head.

The party used "Nug 1", their trusty 6-wheeled ATV to chase the animals and installed a stutter canon as a non- lethal aproach to knocking specimens unconscious.  Also, Dr. Himleich made weak tranquilizers and later adjusted the dosage for desired effect.

The hunting party composed of Elsa, Boomer, Ryn, and Dr. Himleich, sucessfully captured an adult male and an adolescent  male on the Tundra.  They even tracked one to cave where they discovered a large species of carnivorous plant that disguises itself as a large gourd.

Upon defeating the plant, they baited  the last Tundra Rino with Ryn and to their surprise were ambushed by 4 Red Sash mercenaries on small quad atvs.  The Safari party was victorious and delivered 3 healthy specimens to Dr. Usanagi.  Dr. Himleich also became rather friendly with Dr. Usanagi.

It was also later revealed that Capt. Neyon hired the Red Sash through the XYZ Securities firm to establish independence from the crew.  The Safari crew was displeased but forgave Neyon for the rash attempt.

All in All, a profitable day.

Solar Transport Corp. Mission #8

Lennox asks the crew to investigate some potential new properties he is interested in purchasing. All three are located in the city of Mayfield on the planet Owness. Mayfield city is located on the the continent known as Paradise. It was the first settlement on Owness. It now has some bad areas in the city. These areas are home to dilapidated buildings, ghettos, drug addicts, as well as a large concentrations of people suffering from Cykosis (caused by too much cyberware). So needless to say, the areas that Lennox is interested in are in dangerous areas and the properties are going for dirt cheap.

Neyon heads to the city with "Pat" and Henrique to check it out. They speak to the Govner of the city by the name of David Weissman. he puts them in contact with a security robot that patrols the area by the name of XL-17. XL-17 is a huge bot, he basically tells them that the areas they are interested in are real dangerous and that he wouldn't even go near them. he wishes them luck and offers to rescue them if they get into trouble.

Neyon and his small landing crew decide to check out an old refinery plant. they get into a huge firefight with 2 defense bots and scores of drug addict mercenary hipsters. the battle is fierce but they are victorious. they head back to the the Brick to get mended by the surgeon and will need to plan another assault to actually get into the facility and finish cleaning house.

Lennox side Mission #1

Lennox calls a meeting in person. He asks the crew if they would assist him in an "off the clock mission". It is a bounty hunter / pick up my stolen shit mission. They agree and set out in search of a ship named "Fellows", commanded by a human named Colin Furlow.
The group is given coordinates and they head a few light years to track him down. They find him at a small Dining outpost called the "Cities Pride Inn & Tavern". They shoot Furlow's engines on his ship which is docked and board the floating diner.
The crew shoots this one out old west style in the diner. Captain Neyon mistakes an innocent patron and shoots his foot off starting the whole scene in motion.

The group is victorious. They then permanently attach Colin's ship to the Diner, creating a whole new wing for them to expand the Inn. The owners of the Diner Bert & Ella Ether are so grateful. The group sets up storage areas on the diner only accessible from space. They deliver the cargo and the dead captain back to Lennox.  He rewards them with a ton of cash on cred sticks (untraceable). 

Encounter #1

Brad the Gold Brick enters the orbit around Venon. The 2 hostile fighters are threatening the mining facilities the group set up. The combat is quick and painless. The new upgrades to the ship and the expert staff are really paying off!
Kyth-Kah-Thal says that he suspects the company "Comm Corp LTD." (direct competitor to us). He thinks they are who is behind all of these small scale mercenary space attacks we have been encountering.

Owness:

A group of scientists and archaeologists found something extraordinary on a dig site in the South Desert on Dorsan

• one tent collapsed. 4 bodies with face hugger type creatures. all shot, one taken for study (head too!)
• all 14 of the rest of the crew were catatonic and chanting/ humming over a strange red elliptical pod. ~ all were shot. a creature in futuristic armor emerged.
• vibes were felt, creature took off
• many specimens and artifacts taken back to the ship for future study

Solar Transport Corp. Mission #6

SK21847-B Asteroid

The crew intercepts an emergency beacon for distress. Apparently, a mining settlement has suffered the effects of a biological hazard which transforms humans into some sort of a feral minster (ghoulish). As Brad makes its approach, they detect a Star Ship leaving quickly and fold space, losing its signature. Upon landing on the surface of the asteroid, they discover the settlement was damaged by an assault and bodies lay slumped throughout the facility. However, most of the bodies spring to life and attack the crew. Dr. Himleich discovers that a medical procedure to the "ghoul's" brain and the infection of a virus has caused their abnormalities. The crew even rescues Piper, a mining supervisor and lone survivor. Piper reveals that his patron, Dr. Enzio Botinelli, perpetrated these devious experiments and was perplexed as to why. The crew takes Piper to safety and never looked back at the accursed Asteroid Settlement again.

Solar Transport Corp. Mission #4

The crew takes a job from a Fixer named "Drake" on a space station names "Spiral". Their mission: to secure an industrial district from gangs (The Red Sash gang and the 3rd Eye gang) who are squatting and warring over territory for the past few months. Thendus established a rapport with the Red Sash boss, Aldo, and even negotiated terms to secure partial leasing rights in exchange for the head of the 3rd Eye boss:Lothar. During their daring raid of the dilapidated complex, they met abother group called the Hub-ists (data miners), and even discovered an A.I. database. After an intense battle with exceptional prep work and hacking, the crew was victorious. They not only vanquished the 3rd Eye and Lothar, but gained the allegiance of Red Sash, Hubalists, and Quetzlecuatol (A.I.) without a suffarint a single casualty.
